CAMRIS International has a long-standing relationship with USAID and other US government entities, and prides itself for acting as a bridge between USAID and DOD, helping complement the civilian and military counterparts of government and streamlining and coordinating their objectives and needs. CAMRIS acts as the link, or integrator between civilian and military entities, coordinating a streamlined response that is both technologically innovative and one that caters to local needs and a culturally appropriate vision. The CAMRIS team leverages the various funding and expertise available and provides a holistic approach to the concept of Disaster Preparedness, in a manner that is applicable to various regions and countries.

As an integrator, the CAMRIS Disaster Preparedness Group supports curriculum development, providing subject matter expertise on Disaster Planning and Response Mitigation, and guidance on various humanitarian assistance programs via concept development, project design execution and representation. CAMRIS acts as a bridge between the client and local government entities and groups, and manages expectations between the various cultural backgrounds and learning experiences. In addition to providing logistics and linguistic support, CAMRIS experts play a valuable role in facilitating working groups in a myriad of fields, such as Health, Communications, Logistics, Security, and Disaster Management. CAMRIS also provides technical assistance, capacity building, Monitoring and Evaluation and event planning to both civilian and military Disaster Preparedness teams, as well as foreign organizations working in the field. The CAMRIS approach also includes effective program management, training and legal support.

CAMRIS technical experts have a strong background in preparing and presenting standardize briefings to various levels of local and foreign government entities, helping them visualize and implement the appropriate policies, legal fundamentals and frameworks related to disaster preparedness on a global scale. CAMRIS workshops include developing a work plan indigenous to the country and one that addresses the country’s needs and necessary milestones. The plan also involves specific metrics and indicators that help measure the degree of effectiveness of each devised work plan.

CAMRIS provides excellent services in terms of Quality Assurance and Relationship Building, managing Stakeholders’ expectations through a uniformed and clear communication channel so that the implementation phase of disaster planning comes to fruition without too many obstacles. CAMRIS also provides a country/regional analysis, providing a “lessons learned” report that helps the client analyze and improve their approach according to previous experience and cultural distinctions.

CAMRIS currently supports the US AFRICOM' Pandemic Response Program (PRP), Disaster Planning and Preparedness Program (DP3) and the Center for Disaster Humanitarian Medecine (CDHAM) in facilitating and planning a coordinated disaster preparedness plan for African countries, based on local needs and expertise. CAMRIS provides CDHAM with value-added communication and facilitation support and works throughout the various phases of the project per client needs.
