CAMRIS specializes in the development of infectious disease related research globally and building capacity within countries and regions to conduct and sustain research in diseases of global health importance.
CAMRIS provides the full range of technical and research support in order to ensure the successful implementation of each of the projects in the practice area. CAMRIS capabilities to support projects includes, study design, protocol development, study conduct, on-site capacity building, data management, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation manuscripts and presentations. Moreover, CAMRIS provides the necessary human resources support for any labor or logistical requirements related to the ongoing projects in the PHCR practice area.
CAMRIS is currently supporting several projects in disease surveillance and infectious disease research including virology, bacteriology, and parasitology in South America and Africa. We are also developing a project to build capacity at Latin American research institutions to conduct clinical trials of drugs, vaccines and other interventions to combat infectious diseases of importance in that region. CAMRIS also supports the conduct of epidemiologic research studies in the US related to aerospace medicine and some chronic diseases.
PHCR at CAMRIS takes a dedicated team approach to support projects. This team will work with clients from the inception of the project to the final closeout to ensure that all scientific/technical, operational, and logistical requirements of each of the projects are achieved to the highest quality. We are dedicated to ensuring that the projects we support contribute to improving the health of communities worldwide.
