Mr. Carlos G. Rivera, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has over twenty five years of experience working in the health and information management sectors. As the founder, Chairman and CEO of CAMRIS International, Mr. Rivera provides leadership and day-to-day management of corporate operations. In addition, Mr. Rivera serves as Program Manager of current efforts supporting US Government funded disease surveillance and clinical projects across Latin America. Previously, Mr. Rivera was a Senior Business Development Executive for Multimedia Medical Systems, a leading clinical applications and telemedicine software company. Mr. Rivera was directly involved in the planning and implementation of over twenty (20) telemedicine projects around the world. Prior to that, Mr. Rivera completed a successful U.S. Navy career as an Information Systems Officer. Serving in a multitude of assignments, Mr. Rivera has been credited with successful Program Management responsibilities such as; the information technology and telecommunication architecture currently supporting over 300 Navy medical and dental sites around the world, Project Management of software development efforts which resulted in the successful development and implementation of ten (10) Navy-wide applications, and similar award-winning development of the Marine Corps Standard Supply System medical asset management system which is used to manage all prepositioned medical supplies. Mr. Rivera consults and has spoken extensively on the subject of electronic medical records and related system integration efforts. Mr. Rivera holds a bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern Illinois University and has completed graduate-level training in Supply Chain Management at Tuck University.
Laurence M. Day, PhD, MPH

Dr. Laurence Michael Day is an experienced executive and operational manager as well as an internationally recognized expert. His experience spans 25 years working in over 40 countries in all regions of the world. His technical areas include strategic development, capacity building, health systems strengthening, health services financing, management systems, program design and evaluation.
Dr. Day has led major innovative sector strategy designs, evaluations and technical assistance projects for the Federal Government (USAID, DoD, NIH/National Cancer Institute, Veteran`s Affairs), State Governments (California and Maryland), international organizations (World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, World Health Organization), leading universities, non-profit organizations and private corporations.
Dr. Day is concurrently an Adjunct Professor of International Development at the Payson Center of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He holds a Ph.D. and two Master`s Degrees from UCLA (Ph.D. in public health with a concentration in finance and management, MPH with a concentration in international health, and an interdisciplinary M.A. in developmental economics and Latin American politics). He also holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy. He speaks Spanish fluently as well as French and Portuguese, having lived for extended periods in Hispanophone, Francophone and Lusophone countries.
William Pendley, MBA

Mr. Pendley is responsible for corporate finance and for operational oversight of staff accountants and all accounting functions. He has provided services in industries including government contracting, technology, investments and non-profit companies. He has led engagements for both public and private company financial restructurings and has provided advisory services for acquisitions. Prior to joining CAMRIS he served as chief financial officer for a number software and technology start-ups in the Silicon Valley and in the Washington Metropolitan area. He also served as divisional chief financial officer for IBM and for Motorola. He holds a Bachelor`s degree from Georgetown and an MBA in Finance from NYU. Examples of his experience in capital and acquisition include: Digex (1st round of venture capital, totaling $20 million venture capital; $150 million IPO, sold to Intermedia Communications for $150M); RingZero (1st round of venture capital; sold to Motorola for $18 million); Motorola (hired as part of RingZero purchase, ran Motorola`s Silicon Valley Software Finance Operation evaluating acquisitions and restructuring operations, and divesting a Chinese software operation); Netfish Technologies (raised $30 million venture capital, built financial and HR infrastructure, and subsequently participated in sale of company for $300 million); Vista Technologies (management buy-out from larger organization; implemented full government contract financial infrastructure in 30 days); FranData (management buy-out provided financial infrastructure); Color Wheel (bank work-out, business model, debt restructure, vendor agreements and buy-outs; successful turnaround from 3 years of losses to 3 years of profitability); Facilities Development Corp (Government contractor turnaround, debt restructure, organization change, successful turnaround from insolvency to $20M company); Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (turnaround from complete collapse of account and finance function to fully integrated planning, forecasting, and accounting function, with 50% less cost).
Maria F. Trujillo, PhD

Maria Trujillo is Vice President of the Emerging Business Areas at CAMRIS International. She has consistently demonstrated her drive to innovate, to improve CAMRIS operations and to develop new business areas for the company. At CAMRIS, she has opened up new clients and new practice areas for the firm, among them a significant blood management program with the Air Force that is now expanding across all services. At the same time, she has also carried out superior technical assistance work for USAID, the VA and other clients. Among her responsibilities, she is now in a leadership position as Business Area Manager for our Emerging Areas Group, guiding a portfolio of diverse programs through their early growth phase, while also carrying out various technical assignments and assisting with overall corporate strategies, growth and development.
Dr. Trujillo is a specialist in knowledge management and capacity building in international development. She has experience in medical and health informatics developing knowledge management tools and communication systems. She has worked throughout Latin America as well in Africa and New Zealand, and with public and private clients in the U.S. She leads technical development of knowledge management systems for CAMRIS clients including USAID and private clients, and support field projects in Latin America and Central Asia.
Dr. Trujillo has been providing technical services to clients such as SDDC in US TRANSCOM to improve knowledge management capacity within organizations that have set as their goal the fostering of an environment conducive to more effective knowledge synthesis, transfer and use. She is concurrently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Payson Center for International Development and Technology Transfer at Tulane University.
Alan Ruprecht, MS, MA

Mr. Ruprecht is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated projects within Military Medicine Business Area to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. He served for 33 years in the Medical Service Corps of the United States Navy, completing his service with the rank of Captain. During his career he had technical and staff responsibilities in support of major Department of Defense activities worldwide. He served as Deputy Command Surgeon; as Chief Planner; as desk officer; and in other key positions and activities in Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States. His extensive training during this time included over twenty specialized programs as well as two Masters degrees, one from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the other from the Naval War College.
