Strategic Communication & OSI
Our staff works with client organizations to develop strategies that advance their priority issues. We accomplish this by:
- Shaping effective messages and enhancing communications with their intended audience
- Collecting and analyzing open source material (all sources: print, audio, video, and internet media)
- Working to coordinate strategic communications with both domestic and international audiences
Example: USAID, Ecuador : Communications and Public Diplomacy in Ecuador's Northern Border Region
Challenge: To assist U.S. Government efforts to bolster civil society in Ecuador 's northern border region through media, communications and other public diplomacy activities; and through these activities, to contribute to increased stability in the region, strengthened cohesion between populations in the rest of the country and the northern border region, and improved resiliency against potential negative effects from cross-border conflict and drug trafficking.
Solution: CAMRIS provided professional services supporting all aspects of conception, strategic communication development , and implementation. Media and public opinion within the northern border region, which had been susceptible to threats from instability on the Colombian side of the border, demonstrated measurable improvement in increased pro-Ecuadorian identify and sentiment and also improved investment climate and stability. USAID was awarded the prestigious 2006 "Magellan Award" in the platinum (first place) category for the community relations/nonprofit and governmental body category.
