Contract Award: Naval Medical Reseach Center OMNIBUS-2

CAMRIS announced today its receipt of an award under the U.S. Navy “OMNIBUS-2” contract with a contract value of $20 million. The purpose of this contract is to provide support for Nava l Medical Research Center (NMRC) under the Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and their subordinate research and development commands over the next five years as they carry out their mission objectives. These include: development of health care policy; health care delivery; research, development, tests, and evaluations; and to serve as an effective instrument of U.S. Foreign Policy by initiating and continuing programs which promote positive relations around the world. In addition to the services it is now providing under OMNIBUS 2, CAMRIS continues to provide technical and research support services to a number of subordinate commands in the U.S. and overseas including under separate contract vehicles. These include the ongoing OMNIBUS-1 ID/IQ contract for Research and Development (R&D); the Naval Aerospace Medicine Research Laboratory (NAMRL) Support contract for ongoing research program support; and the Field Research in Infectious and Emerging Diseases (FRIED) Support Contract to carry out tropical medicine and infectious diseases research overseas.
