News Release - February 19, 2010 [Bethesda, MD] CAMRIS Providing Technical Assistance to Taskforces Addressing Needs of Highly Vulnerable Children (HVC) Impacted by Haitian Earthquake CAMRIS is assisting the USAID Special Advisor for Assistance to Orphans and Vulnerable Children and his technical team by providing internal situation report summaries twice each week, and external public information summaries, of USG, UNICEF, and other agency/NGO work with children affected by the Earthquake in Haiti. Reports are delivered to USAID’s Earthquake/HVC Response Team and to the Department of State for distribution to USG Task Forces addressing the needs of children affected by the Haitian earthquake. The information will be used to assist the PL 109-95 (Assistance for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children in Developing Countries Act) Secretariat/Haiti HVC Taskforces to track the latest developments and to inform their response. CAMRIS is providing this assistance through USAID’s Global Health Technical Assistance (GH Tech) Project.
